General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Compliance

As of May 25, 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has become legally binding. It was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens’ data privacy, and to reshape the way organizations across the European region approach data privacy. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU.

All suppliers of services and goods who process data from EU citizens and work with companies within the EU must comply with the GDPR, meaning that it is relevant to most companies. PETRAKIS TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) has strengthened its data protection policies and practices for employees and Clients and has successfully managed the complex process of meeting the demanding conditions for the protection of personal data.

The Company’s Commitment to the security of personal data is demonstrated through the relevant policies and the provision of appropriate resources to establish and develop effective data protection and information security controls. Today, we have been updating our Privacy Policy which has been specifically adjusted to reflect the new regulation.
